The population was 3,633 at the 2010 census.\nFox Island is located at 47\u00b014\u203239\u2033N 122\u00b037\u203212\u2033W\ufeff \/ \ufeff47.24417\u00b0N 122.62\u00b0W\ufeff \/ 47.24417; -122.62 (47.244053, -122.619906). There is a dock on the north side of the island. The waters around the island are used for fishing and scuba diving.\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.4\u00a0square miles (16.5\u00a0km\u00b2), of which, 5.2\u00a0square miles (13.5\u00a0km\u00b2) of it is land and 1.2\u00a0square miles (3.0\u00a0km\u00b2) of it (18.31%) is water.\nFox Island is separated from the mainland by Hale Passage to the north.
