From the Hawaiian spelling Ka\u02bba\u02bbawa it is seen that each a is pronounced separately and distinctly, set apart by the two \u02bbokinas: [\u02c8k\u0250\u0294\u0259\u02c8\u0294\u0250v\u0259] or [\u02c8k\u0250\u0294\u0259\u02c8\u0294\u0250w\u0259].\nKa\u02bba\u02bbawa is north of K\u0101ne\u02bbohe Bay (north of Ka\u02bb\u014d\u02bbio Point, also Kalaeoka\u02bb\u014d\u02bbio), and the Pacific Ocean shore here is fronted by a broad fringing reef with a narrow, but quite inviting beach (Kanenelu Beach, Kalae\u02bb\u014d\u02bbio Beach Park, and Ka\u02bba\u02bbawa Beach Park).
