Lovecraft and Roger Zelazny's Amber universe, inherited from Cthangband and ZAngband, respectively.\nThere is also a multiplayer version of ToME, called TomeNET, that allows multiple people to play by having a global turn clock (which does eliminate some strategy aspects of the game).\nThe player creates a character from an extended list of races and classes, ranging from D\u00fanedain warriors to Elven magi.
