{"id":41771,"count":2,"description":"Bayview is a station on the Sheppard line of the subway system in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 550 Sheppard Avenue East, at Bayview Avenue. It opened in 2002.\nStevens Group Architects designed the station. Most unique to the station are the high-ceiling entrance pavilions with long, angled roofs overhanging the structure, evoking mid-century expressionist architecture. They have extensive glazing. The public art installed at Bayview Station includes a variety of trompe l'oeil illustrations on the walls and floors by Toronto artist Panya Clark Espinal.\nNearby landmarks include the Bayview Village Shopping Centre and the Kenaston Gardens YMCA, which has an entrance directly adjacent to the station. There is no indoor access to the subway from either Bayview Village or the YMCA.\nA transfer is needed to connect to both of these routes. Transfers occur directly outside of the station.
