As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough had a total population of 11,593.\nHaddonfield was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1875, within portions of Haddon Township, based on the results of a referendum held that same day. The borough separated from Haddon Township as an independent municipality in 1894.\nHaddonfield was the second municipality in New Jersey (after Cape May) to establish a historical preservation district.
