Virden is a regional service centre owing in part to its location, and it has a stable commercial sector, including a Tim Hortons, an A&amp;W; fast food restaurant, Subway, Chicken Chef, and several other restaurants, gas stations, and coffee shops.\nKnown as the \"Victorian Home on the Prairies\", the Pioneer Home Museum exists within a late 19th century home.
