The Kiel and Morgan Hotel in the town was the original Lyon County seat.\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0\u00a0km), all of it land.\nThe Redwood River flows through the city.\nMinnesota State Highway 23 serves as a main route in the community.\nAs of the census of 2000, there were 346 people, 130 households, and 80 families residing in the city.
