Each October the Medaryville Lions Club sponsors a bike ride, known as the Crane Cruise, that runs through the heart of the migration territory.\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3\u00a0km), all of it land.\nAs of the census of 2000, there were 565 people, 225 households, and 152 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,240.4 people per square mile (474.2\/km\u00b2). There were 256 housing units at an average density of 562.0 per square mile (214.9\/km\u00b2).
