It is located along State Highway 57 in southwest Hardeman County. Saulsbury is home to a grocery store, a post office, a volunteer fire department, two baptist churches, and a garage that opened in 2009. It also boasts a park (Peabody Park) situated between West Street and Church Street. Saulsbury is along the Norfolk Southern railroad.\nThe unusual spelling of the town's name can be traced back to two men named Burrell Sauls and Berry Futrell. When a newly completed railroad and depot were built a mile north of the town of Berlin, the depot became known as the \"Sauls-Berry Depot.\" To be closer to the tracks and depot, the inhabitants of Berlin moved north to Saulsbury, incorporated in 1856.\nOn January 17, 1999, an F1 tornado formed just southwest of Saulsbury, and moved northeast until dissipating near Rogers Springs.
