The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan&#8217;t good.  Not until the 1970&#8217;s, the first skateboard park was made in Southern California.  Next the skateboard park  boom was about to begin.  Many skate parks that were built in the next dozen years.
