About Skateboarding
The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Many years later, the first skate park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
