Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World's first skate park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next few years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
