Many years later, the first skateboard park was made in California. Next the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
