About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. Not until the 1970's, the first skate park was made in California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
