About Skateboarding
The first skateboarders took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
