Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Many skate parks that were built in the next years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
