About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is an activity that everyone should learn. The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. The first skateboard park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
