The World's first skate park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard boom was about to begin. Thousands skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
