About
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The World's first skate park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next few years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
