Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skateparks that were built in the next dozen years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
