About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970's, the first concrete skateboard park was made in California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. Thousands skate parks that were built in the next years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
