About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Not until the 1970's, the first skatepark was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next years. Now there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
