The first skateboarders rode down hills in Carlsbad, CA with clay wheels to take their surfing to the streets. Many years later, the first skatepark was made in California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. It was thousands of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
