About
The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to mimic the waves of surfing. The first concrete skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next few years. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.
