The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools so that they would have an activity to do when the surf wan't good. The first skateboard park was made in Southern California. Shortly after, the skateboard park boom was about to begin. Skateboarding has taken off with the pros, such as Rob Drydek and Shaun White, who have brought it to the main stream.

We have even taught a 78 year-old grandfather who wanted to skate with his grandchildren. You can start skateboarding at any age.
