About Skateboarding
Skateboarding is a great sport. The first skaters took big wooden boards into empty swimming pools to take their surfing to the streets. The first skate park was made in Southern California. Next the skateboard building boom was about to begin. There were a lot of skate parks that were built in the next dozen years. Today, there are more than 2,600 skateparks in America. The popularity of skateboarding has taken off with the pros, like Tony Hawk, who have brought it to the main stream.
